Feel all the scares with 10 creepy mazes, five spooky Scare Zones, two live action packed shows, four Skeleton Key Rooms, and a thousand monsters lurking in the fog. Whatever you’re greatest fear is, you can probably find it at Scary Farm.

Be prepared for 24 horrifying nights, beginning September 22nd to All Hallows’ Eve on October 31st. Four all new nightmarish attractions will debut this season at the world’s largest Halloween event, Knott’s Scary Farm. So what’s new this year?

All new Black Ops: Infected

Survive the Zombie Apocalypse in an All-Out War!

Armed with cutting edge laser guns, brave guests will face off against hordes of zombies in the groundbreaking all-new Special Ops: Infected interactive maze. Guests will form small units to battle the zombie apocalypse through blood soaked city streets and an underground sewer system crawling with nearly one hundred ravenous zombies. The high tech innovative experience thrusts guests into the middle of a live-action video game complete with live actors, real time scoring system, kill streak rewards system and interactive targets, including a juggernaut boss zombie. The new attraction is one of the largest mazes ever created in Knott’s Scary Farm history so form your squad and put your zombie apocalypse survival skills to the test in this action packed, one-of-a-kind experience.

A must-see live stage show in Calico Square that looks back at the year’s pop culture with some killer comedy. Notorious for its special effects and high-flying stunts, The Hanging® is a no-holds-barred assault on pop culture’s most infamous moments of the past year. A must see parody that you cannot miss!

Nightly showings at 8:00pm, 9:30pm, and 11:00pm on the Calico Mine Stage.

FearVR: 5150

Enter the mysterious Meadowbrook Institute and witness the abnormal case of a terrifyingly unusual patient named Katie in the groundbreaking virtual reality horror experience FearVR: 5150. Using Samsung Gear VR powered by Oculus and strapped to a hospital wheelchair, come face- to-face with the deadly chaos unraveling around you. Disturbingly vivid sights and sounds invade all of your senses. Encounter the darkness that has taken over the medical staff during your fully immersive hospital stay. Patients beware; it is easier to check in than it is to check out….

****FearVR: 5150 requires an additional fee and is not included with park admission or with the Fright Lane with Skeleton Key. FearVR: 5150 is approximately ten minutes long including a pre-show and four minute VR experience. A limited number of reservations will be available on a first-come basis when Knott’s Scary Farm opens each night. Tickets are sold on a per-person individual basis. Knott’s Scary Farm is returning for your horrifying pleasure in just a couple of short days. So get ready for 24 nights of pure terrifying horror. Scary Farm is the largest, most haunting Halloween experience in Southern California, with endless mazes and shocking surprises. I was lucky enough to attend the preview to let you in on what’s to come for this years haunt! The Scary Farm will be here September 24 – October 31 and conjures up never before seen experiences and show-stopping entertainment. Hours vary by night, so make sure to check the site out for exact hours. Read on for all the gruesome details of what’s new this year and to find out which of your  favorites are returning.

2015 HIGHLIGHTS:

*11 Haunted themed walk-through mazes and interactive haunted attractions that are filled with scare masters galore whose only goal is to see to it that you don’t make it out alive. Are you up for the challenge? 😉

*3 Endless scare zones across the park’s 160 acres.

*2 Spectacular live shows, including the return of Elvira – Mistress of the Dark in an all-new show.

*1,000 Live monsters, ghosts, ghouls, goblins, freaks, mutants, maniacs and other beasts lurking in the fog to scare any soul that happens by. Oh, and don’t forget the zombies….

*Lets you come back every night for only $80.
*Parking? If you plan on coming at least 4 times be sure to add it to your pass. A pass with parking costs $140. Parking is $20 a Night at Scary Farm otherwise.  So it is totally worth it to add it to your pass if you plan on coming 4 or more nights.  If you already have a parking pass, it will still be good on Scary Farm Nights.

It’s HERE! Knott’s Scary Farm is here in full scare mode for the Halloween season. This year’s Knott’s Scary Farm is stirring up unique and freakish experiences along with show-stopping entertainment, and the all new, not to be missed Special Ops: Infected, where guests fight zombies in an interactive six acre war, and the return of Elvira – Mistress of the Dark in an all-new stage show. Knott’s Scary Farm is Infected!

But first, I want to show you a little behind the scenes look as last week I was able to get a sneak peak at the monsters, zombies and all the rest at scare school, practicing getting their moves down just right to be the best they can be for all of us mortals.

We also got a peek into where the monsters all go to for all of their haunt fittings.

A lot of hard work goes into bringing Scary Farm to us each year, which is why it just keeps getting better and better! Now, what’s new for this year you may ask? Lots of awesomely scary and interactive delights!

Hunt Zombies in an All-Out War in Infected!

Infected
There is an infestation of zombies who threaten mankind’s existence in Infected. It is up to YOU to help save mankind! You will be armed with specially designed laser guns, as you travel along with a brave group of souls and embark on missions, led by  a Squad Leader – a loud mouthed, take-no-prisoners commander charged with turning guests into soldiers. You must work together to fend off zombies and complete various missions before time runs out. If zombies drag their bodies too close, the un-infected’s guns temporarily deactivate, compromising the safety of the entire team. Soldiers with the deadliest aim will be celebrated with a tally of the number of zombies killed on a display board for other survivors to see each night in base camp. Missions will take you through a variety of wilderness terrains, including the unpredictable barrel bridges across the rushing river, through the dark caverns, and through mysterious backwoods. Six acres of the beloved theme park is now home to mutinous, scream-inducing zombies, and the time has come for a harrowing Special Ops survival mission! Are you up for the challenge?
