Always Eat After 7PM

How many of you have been wanting to get serious about shedding some excess weight?

I know I have! Increasing my energy, boosting my metabolism and just feeling better in general, have been on the top of my list of things I wanted to accomplish in 2020, so I jumped at the chance to receive an advance copy of Always Eat After 7 PM” by Joel Marion. Over the next month, I’ll be sharing my experience of the book and diet (and hopefully some awesome benefits!) The Always Eat After 7 PM plan basically consists of: The 14-day Acceleration Phase to kick-start the program and see rapid results, The Main Phase where you’ll learn exactly which foods to eat when in order to achieve your weight-loss goals, The Lifestyle Phase to keep the weight off for good. I will be turning 40 in a little over a year, and I plan on being in the best shape of my life by that time. This is just the motivation I needed to get started.

Based on surprising science, Always Eat After 7 PM debunks popular diet myths and offers an easy-to-follow diet that accelerates fat-burning and allows you to indulge in your most intense food cravings: Eating the majority of your calories at night. I can totally get onboard with this!

I’M IN. ANYONE ELSE? 🙂

Right away, Joel addresses my first thought and probably yours too… I thought eating late was against all the rules?! Apparently not!

“Research shows that the average person’s metabolic rate is no different during sleep than during the day. In short, your metabolism doesn’t slow down at night. Nor does your body store fat at the end of the day. Whether it’s 8 am or 8 pm, you use food for energy the same way.”

Providing studies and his own experience battling weight, this book gets right to it. After doing the research, Joel decided to put his theory to the test and the results were amazing! 12 lbs down in the first 2 weeks, 46 lbs after 16 weeks, flatter abs and more energy. SIGN. ME. UP. Even more awesome:

“At my next medical checkup, my doctor was shocked at how good my blood work had gotten, so quickly. And let’s not forget the most important part: for the first time in months, I had the energy to keep up with my little girls. I would jump out of bed extra early every morning, excited to get them ready for school. They were finally getting the best version of their daddy. “

This sounds good to me, how about you? I can’t wait to read more!

In the meantime, check out this video on Joel’s go-to snacks and recipes that I’m excited to try!

Red, Rye, & Blue Berry Toast!

Red, Rye, & Blue Berry Toast!

By Erin

Red, Rye, & Blue! Just in time for Memorial Day Weekend, here is a fun treat to make for breakfast or as a snack. Very patriotic looking for all the summer holidays coming up. Using berries from Melissa’s Produce make this extra sweet! And don’t forget to take a few moments this weekend to honor our fallen soldiers who paid the ultimate price for our great country!

Red, Rye, and Blue Berry Toast

Ingredients for Red, Rye & Blue Berry Toast

1 cup of your favorite fruit (strawberries, Blueberries, Pomegranates or raspberries from Melissa’s Produce all work well)

1 Tablespoon (or more) of hazelnut chocolate spread. You can never have enough hazelnut chocolate spread! At least in my opinion. Ha 😉

2-3 pieces of sturdy bread (Rye bread works very well)

Icing sugar for décor – optional

Directions

  1. Toast the bread if desired.
  2. Spread the hazelnut chocolate spread on bread evenly.
  3. Place fruit on top of bread. You can get as creative as you want. The more fruit the merrier! Or should I say berrier?
  4. Enjoy!

What are some of your favorite treats to have over these patriotic holidays? Make sure to stock up on all of your fresh berries and produce from Melissa’s Produce and check out their Pantry boxes too!
