It’s Fall! Which means everything pumpkin spice and everything nice, right? In order to make some of my favorite fall treats though, I need to do some shopping to stock up! Luckily, Albertsons is almost my next door neighbor and is my go-to store for all of my favorite snacks. Right now they are having a special Stock Up Sale through 10/13 that you won’t want to miss. I was able to stock up on all of my favorite General Mills products to make one of my all time favorite fall treats, a Fall Harvest Trail Mix! Albertsons made it easy for me to stock up to make this most delicious treat.

I love making this! It’s the perfect snack to make to share at the barn, for a special after school snack, after the gym, a boy or girl scouts meeting, or if you play a team sport and need a snack to fuel up that the whole team will love. It is just so festive and fun to eat!

StockUpSaleAlbertsonsSome of the specials to stock up on include: Honey Nut Cherrios 12oz box- $1.88, Cinnamon Toast Crunch- $1.69 and Nature Valley Crunchy Oats N Honey Granola Bars- $2.48.

Once I had everything I needed from the store, I was ready to get the party started with this trail mix!

Fall-Pumpkin-Mix

Here’s everything you’ll need to make yours! The best thing I love about it is that you can add whatever else you like or take out whatever you want as your taste buds and needs desire. You can also play around with the amounts of each item that you are adding as well if you need to make a larger or smaller batch. It also does not matter too much the order in which you add each ingredient into the bowl, I’d just recommend putting in the larger items first as the smaller ones (like the sunflower and pumpkin seeds) will sink to the bottom and not mix as well if they are added in first.

Fall Harvest Trail Mix

Honey Nut Cherrios- 1 1/2 cups

Cinnamon Toast Chrunch- 1 1/2 cups

Nature Valley Crunchy Granola Bars- 1 pouch (2 bars)

Jet-Puffed Candy Corn Marshmallows- 1 Cup

Pumpkin Spice Chips- 1 Cup

Pumpkin Seeds- 1/2 Cup

Pretzels- 1 Cup

Sunflower Seeds- 1/2 Cup

Yogurt Raisins- 1/2 Cup

Candy Corn- 1/2 Cup

Reese’s Pieces- 1 box

Festive bowl or bags to package them up in.

*Makes about 8- 1 Cup Servings*

General-Mills-Granola

First pour the Honey Nut Cherrios and Cinnamon Toast Crunch into a large bowl. Then take the Nature Valley Crunchy Granola Bars and crumble them up into the mix like shown above.

Mix in all the other ingredients and then you are ready to serve into a cute party bowl, pumpkin, or package up to go into some festive bags! Doesn’t it look yummy?

Here are some super cute ways to present this festive afternoon snack!

In a pumpkin shaped bowl. This one holds the entire batch I just made and is ready to go! You can find bowls like this just about anywhere this time of year and for under $10.

Halloween Treat Bags

Or if you need something for on the go, in the car, to pass out as a snack at a meeting, after a game or practice for the team, then get some fall or Halloween themed bags (they’re super affordable, I got a package of 20 bags for just under a buck!) and fill them up! I used mine as an after school snack and to pass out as a special treat at the barn!

Fall-Trail-Mix-Packaging

How adorable is this?! One last way I packaged up my Fall Harvest Trail Mix was into these cute Halloween Bat Coffins. They easily fit a one cup serving with room for more. Now it’s time to enjoy this tasty after school snack! Yum!

Bacon Signature Items at Stacked!

By Erin

Bacon! Who doesn’t love this ingredient? I love bacon and one of my favorite restaurants has devoted this entire month to everything bacon! STACKED- Food Well Built has been offering some special September Signature Items including a shake, pizza, burger, salad, and Mac’ n’ Cheese centered around this beloved ingredient. Stacked invited me to their Cerritos location to test out a few new bacon items, how could I say no to bacon? So off I went!

Stacked-September-Signature-Items-Bacon-Month

We started off with my favorite, the Candied Bacon. Cripsy, thick, bacon; covered in maple syrup, it just melts in your mouth, it’s a pure delight. Especially after a long day!

Stacked-Bacon

Of course, you need some drinks to start off your meal to go along with that Candied Bacon, right?

Stacked-Drinks-BM

The Sangria is always a refreshing choice, or you can go for the season cocktail, H2O Melon Mojito. I absolutely loved the mojito! So pretty, tastes delicious and it is served up with a fresh slice of watermelon.

Stacked-Special-Items

Be sure to be on the lookout for any other drink or food specials on the walls of Stacked. You are sure to find something that catches your eye that you won’t want to miss! As you can see, there are plenty of choices to choose from!

Ok, so on to all of the rest of the scrumptious bacon items that you are probably ready to take a peek at?

The September Signature Bacon Menu Items Include:

Southwestern BLT Salad

Southwestern BLT: Romaine lettuce with smoked Gouda cheese, grape tomatoes, sweet corn, avocado and Cherrywood candied bacon tossed with a honey chipotle dressing.  The perfect choice if you’re looking for something on the lighter side. I totally recommend getting the dressing on the side. This way you can try a couple different dressings with this one, to see which one you like the best as the chipotle dressing is a little bit on the spicy side. The salad itself is delicious. My favorite dressing to go along with this salad was the BBQ one.

Jammin'-Bacon-Burger-Stacked

Jammin’ Bacon Burger: A fresh Angus Burger patty, topped with a perfect balance of  a Sweet and Savory Bacon jam and bleu cheese. Loaded with Applewood smoked bacon, red onion, and green leaf lettuce on a brioche bun. This one was my favorite by far. I want another one right now, just looking at the picture of it again. It’s juicy, flavorful, and the special jam adds the perfect touch to create the perfect burger.

Sweet-Bacon-and-Onion-Mac-STACKED

Sweet Bacon and Onion Mac: Caramelized onion and candied bacon come together  for this amazing version of Mac ‘n’Cheese. Great for sharing, but then again, you may just want to keep all of the bacon and cheesy goodness to yourself. 😉

Bacon-Cheeseburger-Pizza-StackedBacon Cheeseburger Pizza: Mozzarella cheese, sharp cheddar cheese, ground beef, red onion, Roma tomatoes, pickles, and Applewood smoked bacon. We also added on onion strings and  Asiago Cheese to this one for some added crunch and flavor. It was all baked to perfection on a hand-tossed crust. For my Gluten-Free friends, you can also get this made with a gluten-free crust. You’re welcome. 🙂

Cookie Butter Shake 'N' Bacon

Cookie Butter Shake ‘n’ Bacon: Stacked’s Signature Cookie Butter Shake with bacon pieces. Make sure you save room for dessert and end your meal off right! This is a must try! It’s the perfect blend of cookie butter and candied bacon, that will leave you and your tummy in a happy place.

You only have a few days left to make it out to STACKED to experience the unique flavor combinations with bacon as the star of the month. Bacon is one of the most popular ingredients at Stacked and the September Signature Items add a delicious craveability factor that is more than satisfying! So don’t miss it! Visit the STACKED nearest you to join in on the Bacon amazingness! 😉

Which item are you most looking forward to having? Would you try them all, or just a few? 🙂
