Raging Waters Thousands of Rubber Duckies to Race Raging Waters’ Lazy River with Mermaids During Swim Brayv’s Dashing Duck Drawing Fundraiser on Monday, May 26

Get ready for a splash-tacular Memorial Day like no other! On Monday, May 26 at 2 p.m., Raging Waters Los Angeles will turn its iconic lazy river into a whimsical waterway filled with thousands of racing rubber duckies and real-life mermaids, all for a life-saving cause.

It’s all part of the Dashing Duck Drawing Fundraiser, hosted by the amazing team at Swim Brayv, a nonprofit dedicated to making water safety education fun, accessible, and unforgettable for families across Southern California.

🛟 What’s the Duck Deal?

Here’s how it works: Guests can “adopt” a rubber duck for the big race. Not only do you get to root for your ducky as it floats its way to victory, but you’ll also be entered to win an epic gift basket valued at up to $500! Even better? Every adoption helps Swim Brayv provide proactive water safety programming to kids and families in need.

🌊 More Than Just a Race

“We’re not just racing ducks, we’re racing toward equity in water safety education,” says Candace Thome, CEO of Swim Brayv Foundation. “With Raging Waters by our side, we’re creating a ripple effect of joy, safety, and awareness that goes far beyond the pool.”

And did we mention the world’s largest rubber duck (yes, really, it’s over six stories tall!) will be on display all weekend long? She’ll be joined by her adorable 10-foot-tall baby duck, perfect for Insta-worthy family photo ops 📸🐥

🏊‍♀️ Swim Safe & Make a Splash

Raging Waters is also donating 1,000 complimentary tickets to Swim Brayv this season to support their outreach work. Families can take the Swim B.R.A.Y.V. Pledge at events and enter to win these free tickets, ensuring even more kids learn essential water safety skills—and get to enjoy a day of summer fun at the park, safely!

🎢 Let the Summer Begin!

Raging Waters Los Angeles officially kicked off the 2024 season on Saturday, May 17—and there’s no better way to start summer than with this one-of-a-kind duck race fundraiser. With over 50 rides, slides, and attractions spread across 60 acres, including the Aqua Rocket, a one-million-gallon wave pool, and that legendary lazy river, it’s a day full of thrills, chill, and good causes.

* This is written by me for GigaSavvy. I do not work for or with any brand mentioned in this article, nor do I have any official relationship with them. I attended a media event for “Knott’s Berry Farm for the Cure” with complementary passes. All thoughts and opinions remain my own.*

Have you been to Knott’s lately? If you have, you may have noticed a lot of pink and hearts decorating the park. No, it’s not for Valentine’s Day, but for something even more special and important. Knott’s Berry Farm is proudly partnering up with Susan G. Komen Orange County for the second year in a row to offer a very special Pink Ticket” through March 27th, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting Susan G Komen Orange County, your local breast health organization helping to serve women and save lives.

KnottsPink For the Cure

At the kick off event for Knott’s Pink for the Cure,  we were able to honor an amazing fellow blogger and dear friend, Jaime Jenkins of Polka Dots on Parade, who’s currently fighting breast cancer and is a beautiful, positive woman! She is such a ray of sunshine and brings joy and happiness wherever she goes. Her strength and bright spirit has inspired many of us; her smile will light up the room, her hugs will lift your spirit with how powerful they are, her energy and enthusiasm is contagious.

“Pink Tickets”

Through March 27, Knott’s Berry Farm and Susan G. Komen Orange County are offering special “Pink Tickets” (order online) and a limited edition of specially designed Knott’s for the Cure “pink” merchandise. The merchandise is super cute and very affordable.

At the kickoff event, many of the amazing women who are Pink Warriors, survivors of breast cancer, rode on the Jaguar ride at Knott’s.  Many of these courageous ladies will fight every day of their life to make it through this. Their strength and positivity amazes and inspires me. I just love Jaime’s contagious smile here. It is just full of pure joy! 🙂
