Looking for a thriller filled with suspense and a star studded cast? Then Let Him Go is a must see! Following the loss of their son, retired sheriff George Blackledge (Kevin Costner) and his wife Margaret (Diane Lane) leave their Montana ranch to rescue their young grandson. When they discover that he is in the clutches of a dangerous family living off the grid in the Dakotas, headed by matriarch Blanche Weboy. When they discover the Weboys have no intention of letting the child go, George and Margaret are left with no choice but to fight for the survival of their family.

It’s September 1951 and it has been years since George and Margaret Blackledge lost their son James when he was thrown from a horse. It has been months since his widow Lorna took off with their only grandson and married Donnie Weboy. Margaret is steadfast and very determined. She has resolved to find and retrieve her grandson Jimmy, no matter what it takes. Literally, whatever it takes to get him back, she won’t give up. Jimmy is the one person in this world keeping James’s memory alive for her. Then you have George, a retired sheriff, who is not eager to stir up any trouble and wishes she would just let it go. Unable to sway his wife from her mission, George takes to the road with Margaret by his side, traveling through the Dakota badlands to Gladstone, Montana. Margaret tries to convince Lorna to return home to North Dakota and bring little Jimmy with her. The Weboys are NOT happy when they find out about this though and the Blackledges find themselves entangled with the entire Weboy clan, who are ready to fight to the death to make sure Jimmy stays with them.

This Crime/Thiller movie is full of all the emotions! You might want to have some tissues handy. There is lots of drama and quite a bit of violence. It is rated R, so I wouldn’t recommend this for children. There are a lot of pretty horses and scenery to see though, as it is set in North Dakota with some amazing views of the badlands and painted canyons. Get Tickets to see Let Him Go Here.
