Where to Eat in Wisconsin Dells: A Food Lover’s Guide
By Erin

Here is my foodie guide to Wisconsin Dells! From cheese curds to ice cream, our Wisconsin Dells trip was basically a full-time snacking job, and we took it VERY seriously. In just a couple of days, we devoured our way through tacos, steak, diner breakfasts straight out of a movie, and desserts that deserve their own fan club. Whether it was lakeside bites with a view or late-night treats after the waterparks, every stop was worth every calorie (and then some). And the craziest part? We barely scratched the surface, there are SO many more spots we’re wanting to try next time. Wisconsin Dells, you fed us well… and we’re already planning round two for next summer.
Here are a handful of standout restaurants that fueled our foodie expedition:
1. Bella Goose Coffee – Cafe on the River

Address: 2370 Wisconsin Dells Pkwy, Wisconsin Dells, WI 53965
This charming riverside café is famous for its freshly roasted, house-made syrups and welcoming, home-style vibe. Tucked beside the Kilbourn Dam, it’s perfect for sipping a standout latte and indulging in breakfast or lunch with a view.

2. Mr. Pancake

Address: 1405 Wisconsin Dells Pkwy, WI 53965
A beloved Dells classic, Mr. Pancake whips up made-from-scratch pancakes, waffles, and omelets daily, with fan-favorite specials like Hot Fudge Banana Split Waffle, Strawberry Pancakes, and savory blintzes. Breakfast dreams do come true here! I had the blueberry pancakes and they were delicious!
3. Cinco Niños

Address: 1305 Kalahari Dr, Baraboo (Wisconsin Dells), WI 53965
Set inside the Kalahari Resort, this modern Mexican spot sizzles with flavor; think tacos, fajitas, and margaritas that keep glasses full and spirits high. Their weekend breakfast buffet is a major hit, and everything feels like a fiesta. The birria tacos are a must try!
4. Courtyard Café

Address: 434 Broadway Ave, Wisconsin Dells, WI 53965
A vibrant, family-owned café nestled in the Wizard Quest courtyard, serving coffee, made-from-scratch breakfast and lunch, and even ice cream until the evening. Their signature breakfast salad and creative sandwiches (like a jalapeño cream cheese bagel or California Club omelet) give modern comfort food a fun twist. Their mini donuts and the California omelette are my picks here.

5. The Del-Bar

Address: 800 Wisconsin Dells Pkwy, Wisconsin Dells (Lake Delton), WI 53965
History buffs, this is for you! An elegant supper club established in 1943 and designed by a protégé of Frank Lloyd Wright. It’s celebrated for its prime-grade aged steaks, fresh seafood, handcrafted cocktails, and classic supper club service. Think brandy old-fashioneds and indulgent sides. Crowd favorite: Filet Oscar with crab meat and hollandaise (plus their French onion crock is legendary). My favorite though was the Ribeye. Yum!

6. Lake House Grill & Bar

Address: 1280 E Hiawatha Dr, Lake Delton, WI 53965
This casual lakeside gem offers both indoor and outdoor seating at the edge of Lake Delton. With a “come-as-you-are” vibe, delectable modern American fare, handcrafted cocktails, and even a crabcake BLT with bacon-worthy snap—this is waterfront dining done right. My Picks: Sunset Passion Colada, Shrimp and Corn Chowder, and the Walleye Fillet. I had the cheese curds here, but they were too salty for me.

7. The Last Bite

Address: 1305 Kalahari Dr, Wisconsin Dells, WI 53965
At The Last Bite inside the Kalahari Resort in Wisconsin Dells, dessert lovers will find the ultimate sweet escape. Known for its over-the-top ice cream creations, this spot serves up scoops and sundaes that are as fun to look at as they are to eat, perfect for cooling off after a day at the waterpark. From classic cones to indulgent, candy-studded sundaes, every treat is crafted to satisfy your sugar cravings. You can stop by the main lobby to grab a cone on the go or even pre-order sweet surprises to be waiting in your room at check-in, making your stay just a little extra delicious. The blueberry waffle cone and the espresso flavors are my favorite, so creamy and the variety of flavors will have you coming back for more.
So… what would you try first in the Wisconsin Dells?
Would you kick off the day with syrup-drenched waffles at Mr. Pancake, cozy up riverside at Bella Goose for coffee and views, go for bold flavor at Cinco Niños, treat yourself to ice cream and creative bites at Courtyard Café, savor an elegant steak dinner at The Del-Bar, or soak in lakeside vibes and cocktails at Lake House Grill? I can’t wait to add more delicious destinations to round two!
