Nestled in the heart of the Wasatch Mountains, Heber Valley, Utah is a true winter wonderland, a destination where snow-dusted landscapes, cozy adventures, and unforgettable experiences await. Whether you’re chasing thrills, seeking family fun, or simply looking for a peaceful winter escape, Heber Valley has something magical for everyone. I recently had the pleasure of learning more about this enchanting destination at a media dinner hosted last month at the beautiful Manassero Farm. The evening was filled with stories of the valley’s rich culture, locally sourced flavors, and welcoming community, giving me a deeper appreciation for why this region is such a special winter escape.

From ice castles and festive sleigh rides to adrenaline-pumping snowmobiling and the awe-inspiring Utah Crater, Heber Valley offers experiences that delight visitors of all ages. Whether you’re planning a family outing, a fun girls weekend away, a romantic getaway, or just a quiet weekend in nature, there’s a perfect adventure waiting around every snowy corner. Cozy up in charming lodges, explore scenic trails, and indulge in local flavors that make every visit feel like a fairy tale come to life. Heber Valley has something magical for everyone. ❄️

Ice Castles: Step Into a Frozen Fairytale

One of Heber Valley’s most enchanting winter attractions is the world-famous Ice Castles. This larger-than-life icy playground is built entirely from thousands of icicles, hand-placed by professional ice artists. Wander through glowing tunnels, slide down icy slides, and pose in front of sparkling sculptures. By day, it’s a dazzling frozen kingdom — and by night, it transforms into a glowing spectacle lit by thousands of LED lights. Perfect for kids, families, and anyone who has ever dreamed of stepping into a storybook.

Sleigh Rides Through the Snow

With over 200 miles of groomed trails and breathtaking mountain views, riders of all levels can enjoy the thrill of speeding across snowy meadows and winding through alpine forests. Guided tours are available, making it easy to discover hidden corners of the valley while staying safe and confident on the trails.

The Utah Crater: A Winter Warm-Up

When it’s time to thaw out, nothing beats a soak in the Utah Crater, a natural geothermal hot spring hidden inside a beehive-shaped limestone dome. This one-of-a-kind attraction offers warm, mineral-rich waters perfect for swimming, soaking, or even scuba diving. Surrounded by snow outside, the Crater’s steamy interior is the ultimate winter oasis.

Cross-Country Skiing & Snowshoeing

If you love peaceful exploration, Heber Valley’s cross-country skiing and snowshoeing trails offer the chance to connect with nature at your own pace. Glide through pristine meadows, trek through quiet forests, and take in panoramic mountain views. It’s a great way to slow down and savor the season.

Heber Valley turns dining into a winter fairy tale too! LEGOLAND! Holiday Snow Days & Winter Nights

By Penny from On the Go OC!

*We received media tickets to attend the Holiday Snow Days at Legoland*

It was a Snow Day kind of day today! We packed up some jackets and headed south to Legoland in Carlsbad.

We were able to cover Holiday Snow Days for Erin and experience all the fun that LEGOLAND CA is bringing to winter on sunny SoCal!

Holiday-Snow-Days-Legoland

What I love the most about Legoland is that my whole family can enjoy everything from food to rides.

The Holidays bring out all the festivities. Our top 5 faves per my 8 year old:

Snow-Play-Snow-Man-Legoland-Carlsbad

* Snow Play* – The kids loved to play in the snow with their friends. There was plenty of room to celebrate the winter fun with Snow Man building, and he was a huge one! Throwing snow balls at a festive wall was also a lot of fun. They were able to sled as much as they wanted to. There was plenty of room to play for the kids and adults and there was also a snow ball launching area to aim at targets. So much fun for everyone to play with snow in the warm sun!

Heartlake-City-Legoland

* HeartLake City*– Always a favorite to visit. The Holiday show was just amazing. The kids sang along and danced while the Lego Friends came together in a special Winter treat of song and dance and of course friendship!

* Christmas Tree Lighting and Music* – Jenna Elfman did a wonderful job and the live music was magical. The lighting was beautiful and was accompanied with fireworks and snowfall! Everyone really loved the surprises that made the tree lighting so perfect.

Legoland-Christmastree-Lighting-Fireworks

* Fireworks* – This was a pleasant surprise for everyone! The winter night sky was lit up with fireworks to celebrate the Tree lighting ceremony! It was the perfect end to the night!

Lego-Santa

* Santa and Lego Santa* – Did you know that Lego Santa is on the grounds!? He is so cute and just adorable. Make sure you catch him and get a hug!

CHILL Logo QM

The holiday season is upon us in full force, and another fun place that I’ve found to help get you in the holiday spirit is CHILL at the Queen Mary, in Long Beach, CA! Last year my friend  Mary, from Along Comes Mary invited some of us to go with her to Chill and I had a blast! This year, I was invited out by the Queen Mary to come check out CHILL at their VIP Media day coming up this Thursday. Since last year was so much fun, I am very excited to see what is in store for this years CHILL and I cannot wait to share some pictures of what CHILL has to offer this year!

Beginning November 22, the Queen Mary will be covered by a deep freeze for the 2nd annual CHILL, an experience that will bring you holiday cheer, enchantment and Arctic temperatures. Over two million pounds of ICE is used to create the coolest place on the west coast! Here are a few pictures from last years chill. Look at how awesome that is, and it’s ALL ICE! =) Burrrr
