Trolls Afternoon Tea debuts at The Langham Huntington Hotel in Pasadena

The Langham Huntington Hotel in Pasadena, California is now offering a magical DreamWorks Trolls Afternoon Tea every Sunday in July!

Erin invited me and my four-year-old daughter to attend the media preview for her blog, and we had a truly lovely mother-daughter outing. We tasted delicious sweet and savory treats, sipped tea, chatted with friends, and even met Queen Poppy, star of the DreamWorks animated series “Trolls: The Beat Goes On!” on Netflix!

Held in the Langham’s elegant Lobby Lounge, little “Trolls” fans—or kids who enjoy tea parties—are sure to love the experience. The colorful themed menu was created just for children, with each child receiving a plate filled with ham, turkey, and peanut butter and jelly mini sandwiches, meringue tarts, cupcakes, donuts, and Queen Poppy & Branch friendship cookies. They can also choose from a variety of refreshing beverages, like pink lemonade, milk, and a selection of fruit-infused, caffeine-free teas.

Children will also receive an activity sheet, a DreamWorks Trolls Hair Hugger toy to take home, and a meet-and-greet and photo op with a “Trolls” character. (My daughter LOVED meeting Poppy, and every time the troll queen re-entered the lounge she would run over to hug her. It was so sweet!) The lounge is enhanced by Trolls-themed decor and large screens playing scenes from “Trolls: The Beat Goes On!” at a quiet volume. Little guests are encouraged to wear their most colorful outfits—fun hairstyles and bright wigs optional.

Universal Studios Hollywood’s All-New Isla Nu-bar and Jurassic Café is a Foodie Paradise

Universal Studios Hollywood’s All-New Isla Nu-bar and Jurassic Café

By Erin

The Jurassic Park ride at Universal Studios Hollywood was one of my favorites as a child. I am so happy that it will be back this summer along with some delicious eats and drinks!

Delicious Costa Rican-inspired cuisine and flavorful Tiki cocktails are being served up at Jurassic Café and at the all-new tropical Isla Nu-bar, adding to the dynamic guest experience as part of Universal Studios Hollywood’s new mega attraction opening this summer, “Jurassic World—The Ride,” based on the JURASSIC WORLD blockbuster films.

Along with an array of souvenir collectible, limited edition and one-of-a-kind dimensional dinosaur sculptures from the Jurassic Outfitters store, guests can savor a piece of this exciting thrill ride even after they’ve gone home.

Borrowing its name from the fictitious Central American island in the JURASSIC WORLD movies, the stand-alone, open-air Isla Nu-bar, complete with a thatched roof, serves up tropical-themed Tiki cocktails in three collectible cups:  Etched Tiki, Bamboo-styled Tiki and Tiki God.

Whether blended or made-to-order with fresh juices, every aromatic blended drink is adorned with a pineapple leaf and edible orchid flower.  Flavorable beverages include Tropical Margarita, Piña Colada and Painkiller, along with island cocktails such as Tiki Tai, Bird of Paradise, Ti Peach, Rum Runner and Mai Tai.
