St. Patrick’s Day at Pickled Monk in Downtown Fullerton!

St. Patrick’s Day at Pickled Monk in Downtown Fullerton!

By Erin

*I was invited as media to come in and check out the special menu for St. Patrick’s Day. All thoughts and opinions remain my own!*

Pickled Monk is one of my favorite places to go for some craft cocktails and delicious eats. Located in Downtown Fullerton, it is only about a 15-20 minute drive from Disneyland too, depending on traffic of course. 😉 Pickled Monk has “A serious passion for all things crafted: food, beer & experience,” and you can pour yourself a unique craft beer experience as their is a wide selection of craft beers and wine for you to choose from the tap that you can pour yourself by using a special card that you can get to do this with.

Executive Chef David Fune has created a special menu for the St. Patrick’s Day weekend! They are serving up some amazing cocktails and eats for St. Patricks Day weekend right now too that you won’t want to miss out on!

Good-Luck Redd

Good-Luck Redd

Good-Luck-Redd-Lucky

In honor of St. Patrick’s Day, I wanted to share with you about a special little horse named Good-Luck Redd, and lucky he is indeed! Good Luck Redd, aka Redd, was foaled on April 14th, 2009 by Redattore (BRZ) x Good Lady Luck.  He is a Thoroughbred gelding, standing at 16.1 hands, that was retired in 2012 with 8 starts, 1 second, and an earnings of $1,154. He was rescued not that long ago from a private party underweight with dermatitis. Poor guy! Lucky for him, he fell into the hands of the right people that would be able to take care of him and nurse him back to health.

Poor-Redd

Redd was found at a local boarding stable via a friend’s vet, being several hundred pounds underweight and had a severe case of derminitis under his belly.

After a couple months, Redd was surrendered and started his rehab.

It’s Spring! *Almost* & Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

It’s Spring! *Almost*

By Erin

While there technically are a couple more days left to the official start of Spring, you would never know that here in Sunny California! The signs are all around, just take a look at a few of the blooms you can spot in my garden! 😉 What are your favorite signs that you notice that tells you spring is almost here?

Spring Is Here

Just a few of the roses in bloom and one of the thousands of orange blossoms on the blood orange tree. I am excited to see so many blossoms! This means that next year there will be an abundance of blood oranges to look forward to. I only wish you could smell the delightful smell that these orange blossoms are creating in the backyard. It is heavenly! A very juicy, flowery, citrusy delight to go outside to.
