Let’s be honest, Valentine’s Day is really just an excuse to eat cute food, right? Whether you’re celebrating with your partner, your kids, your Galentines, your nieces and nephews, your grandkids, or just yourself (because self-love counts), this DIY Valentine’s Day Charcuterie Heart Box is my love language.
It’s sweet, savory, chocolate-filled, and shaped like a heart… which automatically makes it cute and romantic. Plus, it’s the kind of treat that looks extra fancy but is actually very doable. No culinary degree or stress-induced meltdown required. Filled with lots of fresh produce from Melissa’s Produce and olives from Garcia de la Cruz, make it extra special.
Valentine’s Day Charcuterie Heart Box 💘
Yield: Serves 6–7 lucky snackers
Prep Time: 45 minutes
Total Time: 45 minutes (because we don’t have time for complicated)

Ingredients
🧀 Cheese (Because Cheese = Love)
- Brie cheese, heart-shaped
- Cheddar cheese, cubed
- Pepper jack cheese, cubed
- Manchego Spanish cheese- cut into triangles
- Colby jack slices, cut into hearts
- Blueberry goat cheese
🥩 Meats (The Real Heartthrob)
- 3 Salami hearts
- 8 oz salami
- 8 oz Uncured sweet soppressata
- 8 oz Uncured sweet capocollo
- 8 oz Prosciutto
🍓 The Sweet Stuff (Balance, People)
- ½ cup strawberries, sliced
- ½ cup grapes (keep them on the stem — it’s prettier and lazier)
- ½ cup raspberries
- ¼ cup Garcia De La Cruz Stuffed Olives
🍫 Chocolate = Mandatory
- Crackers
- Chocolate-coated almonds
- Chocolate hearts
- Ghirardelli strawberry chocolate squares
- Candy hearts

Tools You’ll Need
- Large heart cookie cutter-(This is a good set for all the heart cookie cutters)
- Small heart cookie cutter
- Mini heart cookie cutter
- Heart-shaped box (because vibes matter)
Instructions
💐 How to Make a Salami Rose (Yes, It’s as Cute as It Sounds)
- Take your first slice of salami and place half of it inside a glass, folding the rest over the rim.
- Add your second slice halfway over the first, repeating the same fold.
- Continue layering until you’ve used about 9 slices and the glass looks like it’s wearing a salami tutu.
- Flip the glass upside down onto your board, gently press, remove the glass, and voilà! A salami rose.
- Set aside and admire your work. Maybe take a photo. Definitely take a photo.
💖 Heart-Shaped Brie (The Star of the Show)
- Use the large heart cookie cutter to cut a heart shape out of the brie.
- Use the mini heart cutter to press a tiny heart out of one corner, because extra is always better.

🧺 Assemble Your Charcuterie Heart Box
- Place the heart-shaped brie in the center of the box.
- Add the sliced blueberry goat cheese, salami rose, and chocolate half-heart nearby.
- Surround the brie with rolled salami, pepperoni, prosciutto, and dry coppa.
- Add cheese cubes and heart-shaped slices around the box.
- Tuck in fruits, olives, crackers, and chocolates wherever they fit.
- Use extra goodies as “garnish” to fill any empty spaces — no gaps allowed, just like love.

That is a fabulous selection of bites to include on a valentine’s Day charcuterie board. I love that there are sweet and savoury items. We like to do these every so often for no particular reason other than it’s fun to have a food selection x
