It’s the unofficial start of the summer – a long, sunny, warm weekend devoted to family togetherness, outdoor events, and community.  We spend the time to honor all of our men and women in the military who have fought for our freedom and paid the ultimate price—and to those currently serving our country I also want to thank you for your service 🇺🇸

I have spent a LOT of time outdoors this weekend out in the sun, and my skin sure could use a little TLC.  Make this easy sugar scrub at home all summer long to keep your skin glowing with just a few supplies, and package into a small mason jar or decorative jar. Finish it off with a colorful ribbon for a perfectly giftable presentation.

This homemade exfoliating scrub is a wonderful way to pamper your skin, leaving it softer and smoother. Use this sugar scrub on rough areas on your skin every few days for the best results.

Red, White an Blue Sugar Scrub Ingredients

Supplies:

Directions:

  1. In a small bowl, combine sugar and grapeseed oil. Stir well.
  2. Divide the mixture into 3 bowls.
  3. Add 3 drops Forget Me Not Soap Colorant to one bowl filled with sugar scrub and mix until color is fully blended.
  4. Add 4 drops Cherry Soap Colorant to one bowl filled with sugar scrub and mix until color is fully blended.
  5. Layer the sugar scrub into your jar, filling it ⅓ of the way with the blue scrub, ⅓ of the way with the white scrub and the remaining ⅓ with the red scrub.

Enjoy your softer, smoother skin all summer long! 🙂

  1. Hey, that’s pretty cool. I’ll have to show this to my GF. She’s all about the sugar scrubs.

  2. I make sugar scrubs too, but I use virgin coconut oil instead of grapeseed oil. I will try and find those colorants that you used. It would be more fun to add color to my home made sugar scrubs.

  3. I love how this is functional for three different holidays. A great touch for adding a little color in the bathroom as well.
