It’s been very hot and humid around here lately. The perfect kind of weather to enjoy an ice cream sundae creation. Luckily, Albertsonsand Safewayare having a HUGE Anniversary Sale! You can stock up on a lot of your favorite ice cream treats like Breyers, Ben & Jerry’s, Klondike Bars and more! Of course there are tons of other items to choose from as well. Talk about a sweet sale! My personal favorite ice cream treat to get on these hot summer days is some plain vanilla ice cream so that I can load it up with all of my favorite toppings. 😉
I go to the gym, a lot. Since it’s the summertime and I have more free time, we’re talking like 5-7 days a week. Albertsons is right behind my local gym, so it’s very convenient for me to swing by here to grab a few things I need or stock up for a fun get together with family and friends.
Besides ice cream and other frozen favorites, you can also stock up on some refreshing tea, as well as some spreads and dressings to make your favorite summertime sandwiches. Here’s all of the goodies I stocked up on.
Now that I had everything that we needed, the fun could begin to get our fun summer ice cream sundaes created!
First, you’re going to want to get all of your cute summer bowls and cups out to make your sundaes and to enjoy some delicious ice tea to wash down your sweet treat.

It’s springtime! When I think of spring, I think of garden tea parties, sitting out in the backyard with the roses in full bloom, sipping some delicious Bigelow Tea with some good friends. When I think of tea parties, scenes from Alice in Wonderland, elegant Victorian decor and ladies with their pinky fingers stuck up in the air come to mind. I have some very old, yet amazingly beautiful tea cups and tea pots that I’ve just been itching to use to have a tea party with as they’ve just been sitting around in the china cabinet, collecting dust for quite a while now. These cups and pots hold a lot of family history as I imagine they have been through many tea parties before. Some of them can even be traced back to 1910 when my great-great grandmother Carlson owned them. As spring has been approaching us, I’ve been getting more and more excited to finally host a tea party with these beauties! I gathered up a few friends who I know enjoy tea and tea parties as much as I do, and we started to plan our afternoon tea party to celebrate spring with Bigelow Tea! This led to a trip to Wal-Mart to go buy some of my favorite tea, Bigelow Tea, as well as some other much needed items, which you can see the full shopping trip here, in my Google+ Album!
