Salt Creek Grille

Salt Creek Grille

Salt Creek Grille has some amazing eats and drinks. You will want to make this place a regular or make it a special trip anytime you are in the Southern California area!

About Salt Creek Grille

Tim McCune and his original business partner, Pete Truxaw, dreamed of creating a neighborhood restaurant tailored to their community. They envisioned an upscale yet casual American-themed grille, where friends and family would come to relax and savor a unique dining experience. It was from that dream that Salt Creek Grille was born. I think it’s safe to say this is a success as both the outside patio and indoors were packed upon arrival with folks both relaxing and enjoying a nice meal, on a Wednesday evening.

Salt Creek Grille grills their meats over hot, mesquite embers. With a dedication to sourcing responsibly, their food is crafted with the freshest meats, poultry, fish, and produce available. The menu is paired with unique wines from boutique vineyards and well-known cellars, catering to both the connoisseur and causal taster.

The menu is only one part of the dining experience. Creating a nurturing culture among the staff that emphasizes sincere and attentive hospitality is of the utmost importance and is very noticeable the second you walk through the door. The atmosphere is warm and comfortable to make dining a relaxing and memorable experience for everyone. Take a look!

This intimate organization of restaurants is located on the two coasts: Rumson and Princeton in New Jersey, and Valencia, El Segundo, and Dana Point in California.

So come experience the Salt Creek Grille way with me!

First we started out with some drinks of course!

I love blood oranges, so I just had to try the Blood Orange Margarita. It was divine. We were here on Wine Wednesday where you can get wine for 1/2 off, so my friend ordered some wine.

Next up we tried a couple of the appetizers. Boy were we in for a real treat!

Ahi Tuna Stack

Risotto & Goat Cheese “Beignets”

Next, we tried one that came highly recommended to us, so we HAD to try it. Arborio Rice, Black Truffles, Asiago, Goat Cheese, Roasted Tomato & Red Bell Pepper Sauce. Let’s just say this didn’t last very long… so yes it is good. These are amazing!

Then we tried one of the side salads.

The other week we were in for a very special treat to get to see one of our favorite directors, Tim Burton, be honored at a special hand and footprint ceremony at TCL Chinese Theatres. followed by a screening of Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children in Los Angeles.

Over the years we have fallen in love with Burton’s many gothic and quirky fantasy films such as Beetlejuice, Edward Scissorhands, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Sleepy Hollow, Corpse Bride, Frankenweenie, Pee-wee’s Big Adventure, Batman  and its first sequel Batman Returns, the sci-fi film Planet of the Apes (2001), the musical adventure film Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and the fantasy film Alice in Wonderland. To see him being honored and celebrated for all of his achievements was such a special memory to cherish forever.

It all started with a very emotional speech given by Winona Ryder who was going to introduce her dear friend and filmmaker Tim Burton. In the past they have worked together on films such as Beetlejuice and Edward Scissorhands. Little did she know, Burton quietly made his entrance behind her and snuck up behind her to give her a big hug.

Then Tim Burton took the stage and shared his story and his journey of how he got to where he is today. His love for his work  shined through. Next he had some help getting his hand and footprints set and posed for photos for the media.

Burke Williams Introduces New Ayurvedic Treatments! #BurkeWilliams

Burke Williams Introduces New Ayurvedic Treatments!

By Erin

Burke Williams has a new experience to enjoy at their spas, Ayurvedic Treatments. Ayurvedic services are based on a technique that was developed thousands of years ago in India, and focuses on the subtle balance of the mind/body/spirit to achieve healing. The new body treatments are unlike anything else on the service menu, otherworldly and very unique in the market. I was invited to come in and experience this for myself and as I love Burke Williams and trying the latest and newest unique experiences out there, I was super curious to see what it would be like.

The Orange spa is conveniently located just off the 5 and 22 Freeways in The Outlets at Orange. It is a luxurious location that reflects the opulent beauty of a fine Italian Villa. After getting checked in and settled down it was nice to relax by the fireplace in the main lounge and I enjoyed the amenities in the spa while waiting for services.

Over 25 treatment rooms are in this beautiful facility, making it the perfect location for entertaining and offers a second, private lounge for groups. The therapeutic aroma of their signature essential oils wafts through the air. You can help yourself to pitchers of fruit-infused iced water or tea throughout the spa. I love the fruit-infused water they have. Get ready to relax and enjoy! 🙂

As I was waiting for my appointment time, I enjoyed the relaxing and welcoming atmosphere of the spa until my therapist came to get me for my treatment I had come here for. My therapist, Inga came to greet me and take me back to the private treatment room to experience the Ananda service.

Inga told me a little bit more about the practice of Ayurvedic and what the Ananda treatment consists of. Here’s a little bit more information on that if you are just as curious as I am to learn more about it.
